Transitional Living Housing

A Transitional Living House is available to those selected to participate in an internship during the 90-day cycle at the Emergency Shelter and who successfully graduate from the program.  Once an intern is selected, they are provided with part-time employment with a community partner and 6 months at the Transitional Living House following graduation.  These members are required to participate in an expanded Life Skills Program to better equip them for independent living.


The Life Skills Program includes: 

  • Financial Independence and Money Management 

  • Leadership Skills

  • Time Management and Prioritizing 

  • Goal Setting

  • Problem Solving

  • Parenting Program

  • Gardening and Yard Maintenance Skills

  • Meal Planning, Grocery Shopping and Cooking

  • Self-Care: Sleep, Exercise and Nutrition 

  • Simple Home Repairs and Vehicle Maintenance

  • Computer Literacy 

  • Basic First Aid

  • Basic Self-Defense
